It's wild to think about how before I started birding these little guys were running around, undetected. So much can be revealed when we really open our eyes to our surroundings. Difficult to spot in their environment but you learn to listen, and you learn where to look. You find yourself observing areas you'd have otherwise overlooked and you start to notice more of the little details of life. Your perception branches, and your approach changes. This encounter was captured back in August.
